2017 Production

another Shakespeare comedy – As You Like It - famously adapted for 2017

was performed on Sat June 24, Friday June 30th and Sat July 1.

It was a wonderful success.

Congratulations to all who were involved in this fantastic local production!

Donations were made:

$1,000.00 to the Samford Leos Club to go to their current charity the “Genome Power” project (researching the genomics of childhood cancer treatments) and $400.00 to Arthritis Australia.

Spadewerx was supported by:

‘Connectelec’ electrical services – Scott Mackenzie        ‘Spokes Café’ -  Samford Central – Sam Clarke

‘Finer Finishers’ – Matthew Hunsche   and     Jacaranda Publishing’ – Julie Sanderson

In 2010 the cast and crew consisted mainly of complete beginners with one or two experienced folk, but by the end every single person was spot-on and magnificent. The audience enjoyed the performances even more than we did– and our debut was a very successful one indeed.
